# I unblock your software projects and ship them to production

> Independent software engineer in Bordeaux, France. I help startups and small businesses take back the code nobody on their team can run, then deliver it to production in a state their team owns. No full-time CTO required.

- 8 years of experience
- 8 clients served
- 10 systems in production

## One engineer, not an agency.

I am Marc-Alexandre Espiaut, independent software engineer in Bordeaux and founder of Logicoq. I carry out every mission myself, from audit to production.

Clients call me when a piece of software only runs on its author’s machine, when nobody on the team can change it, or when a project has been stuck for months. I get it back on its feet, deliver it, and make it maintainable by your team.

Trained at the University of Bordeaux and seasoned in research laboratories before going independent, I work in French and English, on site in Bordeaux or fully remote.

## My projects

- [Hornet nest detection: from over an hour to under 5 minutes](https://logicoq.fr/en/projects/bees-for-life/): Takeover of a PyTorch model delivered as zip archives, inference audit, and a turnkey GPU laptop that analyses one hectare of drone photos in under 15 minutes.
- [80,000-line R odds engine in production 24/7, with live pricing](https://logicoq.fr/en/projects/piwwop/): Took charge of an R package computing football odds in continuous production: zero code-caused incident, and live pricing added during matches.
- [C++20 REST image-processing server for a Unity headset application](https://logicoq.fr/en/projects/heartside/): Audit of an undocumented C++/OpenCV toolbox, then a C++20 REST server delivered as sources, Makefile and README, deployed by the client with Docker and Traefik.
- [Genome simulation: from 10 minutes to a few seconds by rewriting Python in C](https://logicoq.fr/en/projects/lgdp/): Rewrite of a Python simulation of transposable element dynamics in C, with data-oriented design. Groundwork for the TEDyS software and a 2025 publication.
- [EasyReg: from a MATLAB script to an R/Shiny web app still in service](https://logicoq.fr/en/projects/easyreg-inrae/): A single-licence MATLAB program replaced by an R and Shiny web application, still used by INRAE eight years later and cited in two articles and two theses.
- [Tests and continuous integration for a 60,000-line C++ robotics codebase](https://logicoq.fr/en/projects/labri/): Scrum master of six developers on the Rhoban team's code: from zero tests and zero CI to over 20 unit tests and a continuous integration pipeline.

## From audit to production deployment

1. **Audit.** I read the code, run it and listen to your team. Usually one week, to know exactly where it is stuck.
2. **Diagnosis.** A short report: root causes, risks, performance bottlenecks, and a costed plan in priority order.
3. **Build & tests.** I fix, structure and document, with tests that lock in every expected behaviour. You follow progress delivery by delivery.
4. **Deployment.** Release on your infrastructure, handover to your team, and documentation so you can carry on without me.
